He has won 41 Grands Prix and 65 pole positions, the latter of which was a record until 2006. Senna is also one of three Brazilian drivers to have won the World Championship. At the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, he was killed in a car accident while driving for the Williams team.

She has now established herself as a prominent interior designer. Once Liliane left him, Senna began dating several other women – none of whom were particularly serious – before meeting Brazilian TV presenter, actress, and singer Xuxa Meneghel.
Ayrton died on May 1, 1994, a day after Ronald Ratzenberger died in a car crash at the Villeneuve Curve during the qualifying race for the San Marino Grand Prix (Michael Schumacher won this race). Ayrton made a plea for improved Formula One safety just hours before he died, and he was the first driver to do so.
It happened on lap 7, the second lap at racing speed, when Senna’s car left the racing line at the 190 mph Tamburello corner, ran off the track in a straight line, and crashed into a concrete barrier that was not protected.
His motorsport career started in karting, progressed to open-wheel racing in 1981, and culminated in his first Formula Three championship victory, in 1983, in Great Britain. In 1984, he made his Formula One debut with Toleman-Hart, before joining Lotus-Renault the following year and winning six Grands Prix over the next three seasons.

He retired from racing after that season. In 1988, he joined the McLaren-Honda team, where he worked with Frenchman Alain Prost. They combined to win all but one of the 16 Grands Prix that year, and Senna won his first World Championship as a result of their efforts.

- Ayrton Senna was a Brazilian Formula One racing car driver who died in 1994 with a net worth of $200 million.
- At the time of his death, Senna had a net worth of $200 million.
- After being adjusted for inflation, it equates to almost $350 million in today’s dollars.
- A piece of suspension linked to the wheel had partly entered his Bell M3 helmet, causing him to suffer a concussion and other injuries.
- It also looked like a jagged piece of the upright assembly had entered the helmet visor directly above his right eye, causing him to lose his vision in that direction.
Senna was using a medium-sized (58 cm) M3 helmet with a new “thin” Bell visor, which was designed specifically for him. On the way to Maggiore Hospital, a tracheotomy was done, and he was transported to the ICU when he arrived at 3:00 p.m. His heart had stopped beating at 3:15 p.m., but physicians were successful in reviving him and placing him on life support.
